Courts
Courtrooms are a perfect match for the capabilities found in Pointmaker Video Markers. It was during the O.J. Simpson trial that the Pointmaker was first used. There was a mountain of evidence that needed to be viewed over video by the judge, jury, witnesses, rows of lawers, and in this case, the public at large. It was essential for everyone involved to have clarity about what portion of diagrams, pictures, or documents were currently being discussed. The Pointmaker makes it easy to achieve clarity with Evidence Presentation. With a Pointmaker in the Courtroom, you can:
Focus attention to evidentiary details
Give control to the judge/clerk
Allow attorneys to precisely make points for the entire room to plainly see
Enable witnesses to draw and/or point over video and computer evidence
It's easy, effective, reliable, affordable and quickly becoming the standard in all courtrooms.
Which model do I choose?
Which model and what options you choose for your application depends on your existing set-up. Some questions to ask are: Do you want to draw over video, computer, or both? Do you want to draw from one touchscreen/tablet, or more than one?
Which options do I choose?
All Pointmaker models come standard with two RS-232 communication ports. The options COMM-4, COMM-8, and COMM-4A allow you to add additional communication ports for touch screens, tablets, and/or third party control. These options are only available for the PVI-83 and the PVI-X90. (COMM-4A adds 4 additional COMM ports, an audio follow video switch, and is only for the PVI-X90.)
Typically in the courtroom, there are three main models used. The following table offers links to more extensive information to help you decide which model and configuration will work best in your environment.
